Why is there a limit of 50 apps that can be blocked?

Apple's App Picker has a built-in limit of 50 apps that can be blocked simultaneously. This is an Apple restriction, not a Scrolly limitation.
However, websites don't count toward this limit! You can block up to 50 apps and unlimited websites at the same time.

Can't scan Scrolly? Try this step-by-step fix

We very rarely experience any problems with iOS devices. If the Scrolly is not scanning or the apps are not being blocked please:

1. Ensure your iOS version and Scrolly app are up to date
2. Restart the device (Make sure that your phone has version 17 or newer)
3. Fully close the app by swiping it away, then reopen it
4. Log out of the Scrolly app, then log back in

Blocked app selecting is not working properly

We're sorry — the App Picker is crashing on your iPhone.
Here are two simple ways to fix it so Scrolly can block apps properly again.

Option 1: Update your iPhone to iOS 26
The App Picker works much more reliably on iOS 26.
If you're on an older version, updating your system is the fastest fix.
Go to: Settings → General → Software Update

Option 2: Reset Screen Time (fixes corrupted App Picker data)
If updating doesn't help, you can reset Screen Time. This removes old app and website data that can cause the App Picker to crash.

Step by step:

1. Delete the Scrolly app from your iPhone.
2. Open Settings → Screen Time.
3. Turn OFF settings:
  - App & Website Activity (at the bottom)
  - Share Across Devices (third from the bottom)
4. Restart your iPhone.
5. Reinstall Scrolly from the App Store.
6. When asked, allow Screen Time access and select your apps again in the App Picker.

Scrolly is not scanning / Scrolly stopped scanning (an error message pops up)

To reduce the risk of NFC failure, every Scrolly device has two NFC chips inside:

NFC chip 1 – located on the front (face) of Scrolly
NFC chip 2 – located on the back of Scrolly

Scrolly scan error

If an error message pops up after scanning Scrolly please:

1. Try scanning Scrolly again.
2. Flip Scrolly over and scan the other side.
3. Remove your phone case and try scanning again.
4. Restart your phone.
5. Reset the Scrolly app.
6. If the problem continues, contact us at support@scrollyapp.io
